These sculptural works are about navigation: the physical action of moving through an everyday environment as well as the cognitive journey through our thoughts, memories, and ideas.

I am particularly interested in certain elements of architectural structures - the supporting columns, protruding windows, the different levels, spaces and passageways. Through sculpture I can create tangible, abstract forms from these observations with a strong focus on both the positive and negative spaces.

The monochromatic pieces capture the gradients created by shadow; they react to the subtle changes in light. In more recent sculptures of 2021, I have used the paint itself to create colour gradients and I’m developing various paint effects to add surface texture.

Selected works are available directly or can be acquired through The Artling>>
